Art Linkletter, who hosted Disneyland’s opening day broadcast, dies at age 97. Art had forged a great friendship with Walt Disney, which led him to host Disneyland’s groundbreaking live opening day broadcast on ABC in 1955. Linkletter returned to the park for Disneyland’s 50th anniversary festivities.

We have added an extremely rare photo from 1958, of the display for the future International Street which was to be buillt behind Main Street U.S.A. It was located on Main Street U.S.A. just north of the Opera House. As the sign says "International Street Grand Opening" . There was a wall in which you could peer through holes (look closely at the photo you can see some ladies doing just that). Through the holes you could see an atist conception diorama of International Steet to be built behind Main Street. It was never build. The area in this photo is now the exit area for Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. You can find the photo on our
